Bah Humbug Challenge

Good Afternoon,
Beautiful day again and I am sat watching the England v Australia one day match on the TV, its too hot for crafting but wanted to enter the Bah Humbug challenge this week as I missed last week being on holiday. Quite a simple card this week, I have used a Kanban topper and sentiment, the paper is by Papermania and I have added a ribbon, bow and Santa charm.

Zig Zags


My DT card today for My Time to Craft where the challenge this week is Zig Zags. I have used one of the new Lili of the Valley stamps and coloured with Copics cut around with fancy scissors and layered. The papers are from the Hampstead collection by Papermania and I stitched them all together with a zig zag stitch on my machine and added a computer generated sentiment. Birthday Package


My project for the challenge at "There's Magic in the Air" where the challenge this week has been set by Olga and is to make a box or container and showcase a Paper Cupcakes image. The image I used is Easter Lilies and I coloured with Copics and decoupaged it. I made a pillow box using an Anna Griffin template, the card was also by AG, I used Nesties circles and scalloped circles and added some adhesive stones. The sentiment is by Papermania and I finished with ribbon and buttons.

The lucky winner this week will receive this lovely prize.

Lovely Cakes

Good Afternoon, Beautiful day here in sunny Lancashire, we have just returned from a week's holiday in Scotland where the weather was gorgeous for the whole week, so hope the sun keeps shining this week here too. Hopefully I will be visiting all your lovely blogs later and catching up with all I have missed while I have been away.


My project today is for the challenge at The Crafty Pad, the challenge is embossing - dry, heat or 3d liquid embossing. I have made a cake recipe book and the cover has Debbie's cupcake image on which I used a clear Versamark pen on the icing and heat embossed with clear ep, I cut this out with Nesties and used the Swiss Dots folder to emboss on the Cuttlebug. The papers are Papermania and Basic Grey. I used M/S edge punch and dotted smaller cupcakes around and bound it on a Bind it All machine.
Inside I printed a Coffee Cupcake recipe, coloured the cupcake and borders with Copics. Our sponsor this week is:

Lets Get Spotty

My DT card for "There's Magic in the Air" where the challenge this week has been set by me and is "Lets get Spotty". I made an easel card using the image of Cats by Nina May of TMITA coloured with Copics. The papers are Upsy Daisy Designs, Daisy Bucket and Magnolia, I used a Martha Stewart edge punch, punched butterfly, nesties and added flowers, pearls, buckle (which I dabbed spots on), ribbon, computer generated sentiment and verse.

My DT card today for The Crafty Pad where the challenge is a recipe - 1 circle, 2 rectangles, 3 papers and some ribbon. My image is from the cupcake collection by Debbie of The Crafty Pad, coloured with Copics, the papers are My Mind's Eye - Bloom and Grow. I added Prima flowers, punched branches, heart button, ribbon and computer generated sentiment.

Anything Goes


The challenge this week at Bah Humbug is Anything Goes, so here goes, my card is made using a Magnolia image which I cut out and coloured with Copics with a little glitter on her hat, the papers are by Kaisercraft from the Belle Collection, I added ribbon, a snowflake charm, adhesive stones, buttons, silk and a computer generated sentiment.

Colour Me Pink


My card this morning is my DT card for "There's Magic in the Air" where the challenge this week has been set by Pattie and is Monochromatic, to use shades of one colour, I chose pink, though I have to confess I did use green for the leaves and brown for her hair, but everything else is shades of pink. The image is Girl with Flower by Nina May of TMITA I coloured her with Copics, the papers are Henbury Lane by Papermania and a free magazine one. The flowers are Prima with a pink pearl and a punched branch, I added ribbon, eyelets and computer generated Happy Birthday.

The Crafty Pad


My DT card today for the challenge at The Crafty Pad which is to use paper piecing. My image is from the Cupcake set by Debbie of The Crafty Pad, I have paper pieced the top of each cupcake and coloured the cases with Copics. The bp is by Magnolia and I used a Martha Stewart edge punch to create the borders, the sentiment is also from the same Cupcake set and I added a ribbon and adhesive stones. Birthday Cakes


A card today for the monthly challenge at Squiggle Stamps. I have used the Cupcake Chef Daisy stamp from Squiggle Stamps, stamped onto a circle cut with Nesties, coloured her with Copics, and added some adhesive stones. The papers are Bo Bunny, K & Co and a free one from Making Cards magazine, flowers are Prima and a white rose which I sprayed with Glimmer mist. I finsihed with a lace bow, a heart pin, a small jewellery carbochon with a rose painted on and a sentiment by Red Hot Bed.

Just Magnolia



A card today for the challenge at Just Magnolia - lace borders, I used Midsummer Tilda stamp and coloured her with Copics, and added some Star Dust Stickles, I stamped her onto an oval frame cut with a Nellie Snellen die and threaded pink silk through the holes. The papers are Henbury Lane by Papermania, I added Prima flowers, roses from my stash, pearls, lace and computer generated sentiment. I am also entering this card for the challenges at:

Xtra Special


The challenge at My Time to Craft this week is to make an Xtra Special card, for someone special or a special occasion. I made my DT card for my husband's Aunt who was 90 last week, so special person and occasion. I only noticed when I posted my card that one of the punched branches had landed on top of my image but I couldn't take another photo as I have already sent the card, so please use your imagination that the branch shouldn't be there. The image is a Penny Black stamp and coloured with Copics, paper is Papermania Henbury Lane. I added ribbon, roses, heart charm, computer generated sentiment, and branches punched with a L-Em punch (and scattered over the card!!!)

Christmas scene




My second card today is for the challenge at Bah Humbug which is to use acetate on your card. I cut a hole in the centre of my card and used a pyramage by FGS Creative Designs and covered it with an acetate bubble, the sentiment was from the same sheet as the pyramage and I added a ribbon and snowflake charm.

Catch of the Day


Today's DT card for "There's Magic in the Air", the challenge is a sketch by Jessie using the digi image Catch of the Day by Nina May of TMITA/PCC. I coloured th image with Copics, the papers are by Bo Bunny and Daisy Bucket. I used a M/S edge punch, added brads, button, raffia, fish charm and computer generated sentiment.

Swirls and Pearls


My card this morning is my DT card for The Crafty Pad where the challenge this week is Swirls and Pearls. The images used are from the new Cupcake set by Debbie. The image is coloured with Copics and the cupcake is decoupaged, the papers are gcd Studios, the swirl is a quickutz die used on the Cuttlebug. Bah Humbug

Last minute again for the challenge at Bah Humbug, where the challenge is silhouettes this week. I used the only Christmas stamp I had which covered this category and it is from a See D set. The papers are all free ones from a magazine. I added a ribbon, peel off snowflake which I put onto acetate and cut out and computer generated sentiment.

Wild Things

My card this morning is my DT card for the My Time to Craft challenge. The challenge there this week is "Wild Things" anything that lives or grows in the wild. I used a Clarity stamp of wild grasses which I stamped with Versamark Onyx Black onto a piece of glossy card I had brayered with Adirondak ink pad "Woodlands". The papers are Cosmo Cricket, I added buttons, raffia and a computer generated sentiment.
